           CURTIS LAMEY

Curtis began fishing from docks, rocks and any shoreline outcroppings at a very young age on a variety of lakes in the province of Ontario.  His passion for angling continued to grow as years passed and after moving to the mountains of British Columbia, he began pursuing trout in streams and lakes with a fly rod in hand.

Following through on a promise to himself, Curtis began guiding in 2002 on the various streams of the East Kootenay including the Elk, Wigwam and St. Mary's.  He continued his pursuit of trout in the rivers of the Kootenays and SW Alberta and eventually found himself at home on the Columbia and Slocan Rivers of the West Kootenay region.

His favourite river on the planet is the Upper Columbia  but also has a huge fondness to the many freestones and tailwaters in the Patagonia region of Argentina where he hosts annual trips for adventuring anglers.

Curtis is also the founder/owner of Freestone Fly Company and has been designing and improving fly patterns for over a decade.
